I currently work as a Java Software Developer for ERS Insurance.
I worked for just over 2 months for SureView. While there I was working on their Immix product with a specific focus on developing their Vue.JS based Web UI.
I spent one month on placement working as a software developer for Calon Cardio. During this time I worked on their heart pump control board and was responsible for auditing it’s existing code and adding additional features as required.
I worked for a year in the IBM emerging technology team as part of a gap year scheme. During this time I was responsible for turning clients ideas for new products into working demos. The bulk of my work there was done as a mobile application developer working with Android, iOS and Web based applications. I picked up with platforms such as cloud computing in the form of IBM Bluemix and general linux server management. I also throughout the year had a chance to develop my project management and communication skills.
In my spare time I have a love of gaming, I enjoy both video games as well as tabletop / board games. I am regularly found playing Magic: The Gathering at the local game store as well as participating in regular Dungeons & Dragons sessions with friends. I have a passionate interest in 3D printing and have owned 3 different printers focussing mostly on printing miniature models for use in games like D&D. For quieter moments I enjoy baking, cycling and hiking.
